Download our enrolment package, fill in the form and drop it into the school office or send via email.  Please provide copies of Birth, Baptism & Immunisation Certificates, along with proof of address.

You are most welcome to call and make an appointment to meet with the Principal, or book a time for a tour of the school grounds and buildings.

Enrolment interviews are held in May and June. You will receive a letter or phone call during April informing you of a time for you and your child to come in and meet with the Principal. Written offers of placement will follow in July.

School Fees at St Thomas Aquinas 2018

School begins at 9:00am. Supervision begins at 8.30 am. The school day concludes at 3.00 pm and parents are expected to collect their children as soon as possible after this time.

Children in Kindergarten and Years 1 and 2 are eligible for free bus passes.  Children in Years 3 to 6 are eligible for a free bus pass only if they live more than 1.6km from the school.  Application forms for bus passes are available from the school office.  If children are not eligible for free bus travel, parents may arrange for bus travel by payment to the Bus Company.  

Children catching the bus home assemble under the Infants' shelter shed where teachers supervise their progress onto buses.  Children who miss the bus are taken to the office and their parents contacted.

Lost or misplaced bus passes can only be replaced by a direct approach to the bus company (Berrima Buslines, Mittagong).

There are many opportunities for your child to become involved in extra-curricular activities; STA has representative teams in swimming, athletics, cross country, soccer, rugby league, basketball netball and cricket.  Children also have the opportunity to try out for Mackillop (Diocesan representative) teams in several different sports.  STA competes in chess and public speaking.

In witnessing Christian values we reject ideas, beliefs and behaviours, which marginalise or victimise people.

The canteen is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  It is operated by a canteen co-ordinator with assistance from parents, caregivers, grandparents etc. on a voluntary basis.

St Thomas Aquinas uniform can be purchased from Whytes Clothing in Moss Vale.  Online ordering is also available from Whytes.

Hats, bags and second hand items can be purchased from the P & F Uniform Shop located within the Fr Glynn Centre or our online store.

OPENING HOURS

Friday after assembly.  Please bring a reusable bag for your shopping when you visit so that we may limit our use of plastic bags.

All are invited to become members of the Parents and Friends Committee, who work collaboratively with the school and parish community about matters regarding quality education for all children, and general issues about school life, including social events, fundraising and finances.

Yes, each grade will be different, but parents often participate and contribute in the classroom. This could include helping with reading and literacy programs, mathematics groups, technology, craft, or by offering expertise in a particular area of interest, such as Indigenous Education or Music.
